Material Tester in Höchstadt
Material testers, who specialize in metal technology, test metallic materials for their characteristics and/or damage. They take samples, conduct measurements and tests and document the results.
Material testers, who specialize in heat treatment technology, measure and test changes in material characteristics such as hardness, strength or toughness after the heat treatment process. They conduct different heat treatment processes such as hardening or tempering in hardening furnaces.
After receiving a short training course in metalworking skills, you will learn specialized skills in a practical manner in our material laboratories and Quality Assurance departments such as:
- Taking and preparing samples, as well as processing samples for different tests
- Testing and determining material characteristics
- Evaluating and documenting work processes, measurement values and results
- Setting up and monitoring automatic analysis and test processes
- Inspecting defective parts and determining the causes of defects
The training lasts 3 ½ years.
The minimum educational requirement is an intermediate school certificate.
